In bygone days, such old silos were used to store Lübeck’s valuable almonds. These were needed for the manufacturing of the famous Lübeck marzipan and were also shipped from Lübeck to Prussian Königsberg. The second marzipan culture of the Baltic area developed there with Lübeck’s help.
This quaint and cosy beer house, with a great atmosphere and the most beautiful bar in Lübeck, is located close to the Holsten Gate. The Bierhaus is known for its delicious cooking and leaves nothing to be desired. Outstanding food, 5 types of beer from the barrel and good service speak for themselves.
